Q: Is there an actual ceremony?

A: Not one that occurs this weekend. The weekend before we are having a family-only ceremony, which is why the registry has 3/19 listed as the wedding date.

Q: Can I bring my kid/dog/parents/life partner/death partner?

A: You can bring whoever you want to Vegas. However the main event (karaoke / pool / pizza / costume party) has space limitations so please do not bring anyone without letting us know about it so we can see if they can be accommodated. It is also not a kid-friendly/appropriate event.

Q: Do I have a +1?

A: Whoever the email was addressed to (ex., "Dear Zack & Lauren" in the initial email) is the people we accounted for when planning the guest list. Please contact us if you would like to bring a +1 and did not have them listed on the initial email.

Q: What if the person you addressed it to is not going to be my +1?

A: Lol awkward. Please email poejamjamplans@gmail.com and let us know who is coming as your +1 instead.

Q: What is a karaoke pool pizza costume party?

A: What it sounds like, but you do not have to participate in any of those things (i.e., if you want to come in regular clothes, not swim, not sing, and eat something else, you are welcome to).

Q: Where should I stay?

A: Anywhere in Vegas you want! Please let us know if you are interested in staying at the Cosmopolitan at a discounted rate (last quoted rates $280 Friday night, $320 Saturday night). We will be at one of the bars there on Friday. On Saturday, the party is at a house about 5 miles off-strip. There is some parking available but we recommend that you take an Uber or Lyft.

Q: Do I need to RSVP by a certain date?

A: We would like to be able to finalize our plans by the end of the year. That said, if you need more time to figure out if you can come, please email us (poejamjamplans@gmail.com) to discuss and we will definitely try to find a way to make it work with you.

Q: The schedule only has like 2 events, and I'm going to be in Vegas all weekend. What can I do there?

A: So many things. Our favorite activity is just walking around the strip (if you've never been, check out the mall at Caesar's Palace, the Park MGM, and the shops at Bellagio). We went to Meow Wolf at Area 15 and enjoyed it, tickets are required in advance. The Arts District is located off-strip but often has events / street fairs etc. And of course there are lots of excellent restaurants & buffets to try all over Vegas.

Q: What are your COVID-19 protocols?

A: Do not come if you are not fully vaccinated, boosters / additional shots included. Do not come if you have symptoms concerning for SARS-CoV-2 infection (feel free to email Pam to discuss). Do not come if you are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test which was done due to either higher-risk exposure or infection.
We are selecting outdoor venues where possible in order to minimize the risk of transmission (outdoor transmission thought to represent below 10% and more likely around 1% of transmission, only 1 outdoor transmission case documented in one large study evaluating >7000 cases). As noted above we are also requesting that all guests be fully vaccinated which further decreases transmission. However, this still does not completely remove the risk of infection and we may not be able to be placed outdoors for all events (at this time the Friday meet & greet will likely take place indoors).
Masking is recommended but truthfully not highly enforced in many parts of the strip, so please keep that in mind when considering your personal risk tolerance for coming to this event. We will not at all be offended if you choose not to come because of COVID concerns, particularly if you are higher-risk for progression to severe disease. And of course any / all events may be cancelled or rescheduled if concerns regarding new viral variants, surges, or increases in local transmission arise.

Q: Your beautiful and highly professional website is flawless. That said, how do I stay updated on the specifics of the events without having to solve your brilliant puzzle over and over?

A: We will send emails out periodically with updates. But thank you for your generous and insightful comments on our timeless and user-friendly website!

Thank you for reading through this and we hope to see you in Vegas!!
